Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Design Construction Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of capital construction projects in the Napa region. This role is critical in managing complex projects, coordinating third-party vendors, and ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction management, healthcare-specific projects, and vendor supervision.
 

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Provide leadership for construction projects, ensuring goals are met on time and within budget.
  • Review project reports for accuracy and lead design and construction updates.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, milestones, and schedules.
  • Facilitate design meetings with architectural teams, end-users, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor infection control procedures during construction.
  • Approve architectural add services, construction change orders, invoices, and pay applications.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external vendors to achieve project objectives.
  • Oversee procurement and move-in of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
  • Compile and upload project closeout documentation into data management systems.

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • 7+ years in construction management.
  • 4+ years in healthcare-specific construction management.
  • 3+ years supervising direct reports and third-party vendors.
  • Proven ability to analyze and negotiate architectural and construction proposals.
  • Experience with land use practices across diverse geographic portfolios.
  • Valid driver’s license and compliance with state driving laws.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing Joint Commission and other regulatory survey readiness.
  • Proven ability to lead healthcare construction projects involving staffing, operations, and physician collaboration.
