A leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing treatments for autoimmune and rare diseases is seeking a Director, Transactions & Contracts Counsel. This role will support a variety of business functions, including finance, clinical operations, quality, research, and development. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who can operate both strategically and tactically to meet the companys contracting needs. Responsibilities:
Contracts Administration:
Support general contracting and contracts administration across multiple departments to manage and streamline contracting needs.
Contract Negotiation:
Prepare, review, negotiate, and execute a wide range of agreements, including:
Confidentiality agreements
Clinical trial agreements
Research agreements
Material transfer agreements
Supply agreements
Statements of work
Quality agreements
Legal and Business Support:
Provide legal guidance for research, development, quality, and clinical operations functions.
Outside Counsel Management:
Oversee and manage external counsel engagements as necessary.
Additional Legal Support:
Offer legal assistance across various needs, adapting to the companys evolving requirements.
Requirements:
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
Licensure:
Active, in good standing with the bar in at least one U.S. state.
Experience:
5-10 years of legal experience, including substantial expertise in contract negotiation and providing business advice.
Ideally, experience within a company that has advanced-stage clinical or commercial products.
